Consultant or Broker: What’s The Difference

As most businesses already know, procuring the right utility contract is far more complex than just signing a contract and hoping you’ve made the right decision.

Scanning the market yourself to find the best rate can also be time consuming, not to mention costly if you haven’t chosen a contract based on your individual business needs.

But once you decide to get some expert help, do you go for a broker or a consultant?
On paper, it’s a fine line between the two. But depending on your business needs, for some, it can actually make the world of difference.

A broker may have market experience and access to a range of suppliers that leads to them securing a better rate than if you chose a supplier yourself.

But in the current climate – where cost-cutting is on the agenda for every business – you might need a consultant to offer more than just energy procurement.
